Accounting Manager

The incumbent has overall responsibility for financial activities, including the oversight of the Payables, Receivables and Revenue accounting functions, including the management of fixed assets and inventory controls; additional, he/she is responsible for overall support and/or supervision of the Subsidiaries' financial and management reporting, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

Maintenance Technician (Contract)

Harmony Beach Park - Montego Bay, St. James.

The Technician ensures the smooth operation and property maintenance of all equipment and machinery at Harmony Beach Park or any other area that may be deemed necessary and as outlined in the attraction's maintenance programme. Responds to the needs of the establishment and ensures that the jobs performed are done to the highest standards. Responds to the needs of visitors where their needs impact on his/her duties, to ensure their safety and comfort.

A dynamic service station with retail operations in Gutters, Manchester is seeking the services of qualified Manager and Supervisors.

The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the business, reporting directly to the directors. The candidate should possess relevant accounting and management experience, excellent oral and written communication skills and be flexible with working days. The Manager will be responsible for the following as well as any other related duties:

  • Overseeing daily administrative operations of the business
  • Creating and managing budgets
  • Developing and implementing effective management systems and control tools for sustainable growth and development.
  • Engaging clients and maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Management of all projects from planning to successful execution.
The Minimum Requirements For This Position are as follows:
  • First Degree in Accounting or Management Studies.
  • Five (5) years' management experience.
The Supervisors will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business and any other related duties with direct report to management.

The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:
  • Tertiary education
  • Three (3) years' supervisory experience
  • Ability to work on required days
  • Proficient money management skills
  • Good command of retail operations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of a successful restaurant and is expected to develop and empower team members to perform optimum while delivering professional customer service in a harmonious environment. The preferred candidates should satisfy the requirements below:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and optimum performance of staff and systems.
  • Maintain a customer focused restaurant, ensuring that the quality service and delivery are in keeping with the company's high standards.
  •  Ensure that the Restaurant upholds the required quality assurance and food safety standards of the company.
  • Effectively communication and maintaining the company's culture and required standards through coaching and motivational exercises towards building a cohesive team environment.
  • Ensure that the restaurant adheres to the respective occupational health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate effective people management skills to ensure resolution of problems in a timely manner, while exercising tact and confidentiality.
  • Ensure the profitability and optimum operation of the restaurant through proper planning, cost management/cost control and sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Preparation and submission of reports to meet deadlines or as required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work on weekends and public holidays as required.

Qualification and Experience
  • Either a Tertiary Level accreditation in Business Management, Food and Beverage Management or Hospitality Management with a minimum of two (2) years' management experience.
  • A Secondary Level accreditation with four to five (4-5) years' experience managing a business, preferably restaurant or retail operations.
  • Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • A valid Food Handler's permit is required.

Chief Financial Officer (Kingston, Jamaica) - Xsomo International Limited

 

Chief Financial Officer

Xsomo International Limited, an industry leader in the manufacturing sector, and an organization committed to delivering relevant printing and technology solutions to our clients, is seeking to identify a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, will have oversight and responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, compliance, and institutional financing.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work with the CEO on the strategic vision of the company, including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensures management accounts are accurately prepared in a timely manner, using generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Oversee the operations of the Accounting department and staff growth and development.
  • Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information, to the CEO and the senior management team and assist in the making of recommendations on both strategy and operations.

  • Sound knowledge of Company Law, GCT and Income Tax Regulations and Accounting Standards.
