Electrical Instrumentation Support - Projects (Kingston, Jamaica) - Cemex (Carib Cement)


Applications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of:


ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTATION SUPPORT - PROJECTS

VACANCY: ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTATION SUPPORT – PROJECTS

COMPANY: CARIB CEMENT– KINGSTON, JAMAICA

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (PLAN PROJECT ACTIVITIES):
  • Prepare budgets.
  • Create schedules.
  • Execute technical and engineering project tasks.
  • Prepare weekly reports.
  • Prepare estimates of time and cost.
  • Prepare request for quotations.
  • Monitor daily execution of projects in the field.
  • Create drawings from scratch using AutoCAD.
  • Review engineering drawings and designs
  • Administer and organize different types of projects.
  • Create stock material reservation.
  • Ensure project cost is allocated to the correct internal order and asset number
  • Control documents and emails in corresponding order.
  • Update projects electronic folder with latest version of information (reports, drawings, picture, quotations, etc.
  • Track material delivery by purchase order numbers.
  • Track and record progress projects to completion.
  • Communicate with procurement, stores, maintenance, production packing plant and sales teams to achieve the objective.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Installation, Mechatronics or any related field.
  • Working Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and a Production System
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCad software, Project Management software.
  • Training in Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation, MV motors, Switch Gears, Electrical Machines, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Linear, Plant Engineering, Machine Installation, Lifting and Rigging, Standards of Maintenance, Health Safety and Environment, Wastewater Treatment system, Project Management & General Supervision.
  • Good customer relations and communications skills.
  • Ability to create freehand sketches with details
  • Applied knowledge of technical and engineering drawings and ability to communicate in the language of projections, isometric, Single Line Diagram P&ID, Logic Diagram
  • Ability to use measuring instruments Multimeter, Megger Tester, Voltmeter, etc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • No work experience required.
Note: It is an entry level role and 1-year short-term contract

Trainee Supply Chain Support Needed (Kingston, Jamaica) - CEMEX

 Trainee Supply Chain Support

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Load trucks: Weigh trucks, Record license number and driver name.
  • Seal trucks, record information on scale tickets.
  • Record daily delivery figure: Record all information on daily delivery.

Required Education/Expertise/Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Customs processing, Freight Forwarding, and immigration.
  • Ability to keep accurate and legible figures and to compile them for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with the public on routine matters and to establish and maintain effective relationships with all persons.
  • Good analytical, written/verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of one year experience in a similar role.

Payroll Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica) - Caribbean Cement Company Limited


Caribbean Cement Company Limited seeks a:

Payroll Clerk (Temporary position)

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and submit monthly payroll for Contract Monthly, UCASE, Executive & Exempt, Staff Association and RMBC
  • Prepare and submit weekly payrolls for NWU and Contract Hourly
  • Prepare and submit fortnightly payroll for RMBC
  • Prepare monthly and weekly journals
  • Prepare monthly and weekly deductions for payment
  • Prepare monthly payroll costing
  • Ensure that P24 forms are prepared and distributed to employees as required
  • Ensure that annual returns are filed with the statutory bodies no later than March 30 each year

Statutory payments and employee's deductions:
  • Prepare and file statutory deductions
  • Ensure that statutory payments are prepared and made on time
Reconciliations:

  • Ensure that all reconciliations related to statutory, deductions, pensions and payables
Internal audit:
  • Liaise with CCCL's Internal Auditor for the provision of data required for internal auditing
External audit:
  • Cooperate with the Company's external auditors in the exercise of their responsibilities

Required Education/Expertise/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and ACCA of the Company's operations
  • Strong organizational skills in planning, scheduling, and the ability to prioritize/delegate and deal with the workload to meet review deadlines
  • Good financial analysis, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a Senior position in Payroll Administration
