Accountant - Inventory & Payables
The incumbent is responsible for managing the inventory, accounts payables and cash flow functions of the Finance Department which includes preparing relevant schedules.
The successful applicant is required to possess the following, at a minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Finance or ACCA level 1 or equivalent
- Two (2) to four (40 years experience in a similar position
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Leadership skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile cycle counts and physical counts to the perpetual inventory ledger
- Reconcile inventory monthly sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger
- Review and approves costings before inventory and general ledger updates
- Review the Payables activities of the accounting officer
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation
- Participate in budgeting, month and closings and ad-hoc requirements and of the department
