Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is responsible for establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators to drive/guide decision making to optimize business performance/delivery business objectives in a dynamic market and competitive environment. The incumbent provides professional and technical support to the Financial Controller/Managing Director.

The successful candidate:

  • Develop management reports which will provide a range of internal and external data/information to support Financial Controller and senior management decision-making including feasibility analysis and ROI;
  • Analyzes both Financial and Operational dimensions of the business and makes recommendations for improvement;
  • Conducts post-completion reviews for capital projects six-months and twelve-months after implementation and prepares Board reports;
  • Ensures mandatory end of year Audit reports are completed as stipulated to inform the latest estimate and to make sure corrective or required actions are taken prior to year-end close.
  •   Prepares weekly update on the Receivable status to keep all internal stakeholders informed, so that they can take the necessary corrective actions required;

He/she will have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology or Industrial Engineering;
  • A minimum three (3) years' relevant experience;
  • Full appreciation of financial terms and business principles;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent Excel skills.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, comprehensive and timely reports.
  • Industrial experience is an asset but not a requirement.

Duties Include:

  • Source, review, compare, analyze, and approve products to be purchased.
  • Track and coordinate the ordering, receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
  • Maintain suitable inventory levels.

  • Oversee and coordinate all storeroom activities.
  • Ensuring that the products distributed match the requirements for the requisite jobs.

Requirement and Skills
  • Tertiary level certification in business, logistics, supply and chain management or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.

  • Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

Manager (The St. Monica's Children's Home) - Clarendon, Jamaica

The Diocese is seeking to appoint a Manager for the St. Monica's Children's Home which is a co-ed facility catering for boys up to twelve (12) years old and girls up to eighteen (18) years old who are wards of the state. The home accommodates up to thirty-five (35) children. The Manager is responsible for the physical, psychological, spiritual, security, health and safety needs of the residents, the supervision of service staff and the overall management of the facility.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary level training in child development or related fields.
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in a similar position.
  • Training and or experience in administration and staff supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Food Handler's Permit.
  • Police Record.

Applicants, preferably an Anglican, should be between the age of thirty-five (35) and fifty-five (55) years and should be able to operate a motor vehicle.
