Service Station Attendant (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - Rubis Jamaica (Coral Gardens)

 Job Summary


We’re seeking a Service Station Attendant, whose key responsibilities include delivering excellent service to customers who are buying gas, injecting fuel, and requesting other services such as windscreen cleaning and oil checks. He’s also in charge of keeping the gas station neat by dumping and picking up litter as needed, as well as replying to client queries and offering guidance as needed.


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Selling fuel at the pump, handling cash transactions, and maintaining records of fuel sales
  • Cleaning and maintaining the facility, including restocking merchandise such as snacks and drinks, providing customer service, and performing maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or replacing air filters in cars
  • Providing customers with information about current fuel prices, promotions, and discounts available at the station
  • Maintaining accurate records of transactions and transactions, including fuel purchases and returns, using cash register systems or other methods]
  • Performing routine maintenance on vehicles by checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and other factors that may affect performance
  • Stocking shelves with snacks, drinks, cigarettes, and other items such as oil filters or air filters
  • Providing information about products to customers using computerized point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Checking identification when required by state law in order to prevent underage purchases of alcohol or tobacco products
  • Stocking the gasoline pumps with fuel and lubricants and restocking the store shelves with food and other items sold at the station

Qualification and Skills
  • A diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year experience in a quick service environment
  • Be kind and polite.
  • Possess a decent standard of verbal ability
  • Be competent.
  • Strong cashiering skills
  • Keen attention to safety
  • Capable of adhering to instructions
  • Exceptional client serviceability
  • Multi-tasking
  • Must be regular, dependable, and have effective communication skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities

Working Conditions
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, as well as weekends and nights

Mother's Jamaica needs Lead Cooks (Kingston & St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Jamaica)

We are expanding our operations and are seeking proficient individuals to join our Canteen Division as LEAD COOKS. The successful candidates should be flexible, creative, be able to work on their own initiative and be able to meet deadlines stipulated by the company.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that standards and specifications for the preparation of specific menu items stipulated by the company are adhered to at all times.
  • Minimize waste and spoilage by monitoring production of menu items and following standardized recipes.
  • Inspire and motivate the team to achieve specified sales and profit targets.
  • Ensure that all health, safety and food hygiene requirements are met.

Required Skills:
  • Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of good sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Good communication and people relations skills.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Qualification and Experience
  • NVQ-J Level II Certification in Food Preparation from HEART Trust NSTA or a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a high volume and quality food production environment.
  • Four (4) CXC subjects including Mathematics/Accounts and English Language or equivalent qualification.
  • Note: Relevant certification is required
