JOB SUMMARY

The Toll Collector is responsible for processing vehicles and collecting toll fare (with the exception of toll exempt vehicles) in the form of cash, and other methods of payment, accurately recording all events and anomalies on the prescribed Activity Sheet, and at the end of shift declare all cash (local and foreign currency) received.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Assesses, collects, and registers toll fares for Classes 1-4 of vehicles passing through an assigned toll lane based on the automatic vehicle detection system/the height and length of the vehicle.
  • Issues machine-printed or prepares handwritten cash receipts.
  • Examines monies (local and foreign currency) to ensure that they are not counterfeit or mutilated.
  • Complies with rules and regulations pertinent to Toll Collection as well as the safety of themselves and others
  • Demonstrates and maintains professionalism at all times. This includes exercising self-control when dealing with rude or irate customers.
  • Document any anomalies that occurs throughout the shift.
  • Cashiering experience is an asset.

  • Keep indoor and outdoor kennels clean at all times
  • Make sure that the reception area is always clean.
  • Monitor the fish tank – make sure the water is at an appropriate level.
  • The floor of the examination room, surgery room, x-ray room, must always be clean and odor free.
  • The front yard must be garbage free, plants watered and hedges trimmed when necessary.

  • Bathroom floor is cleaned at least twice a day; toilet and basin three times a week.
  • Tissue, hand soap and hand towels are replenished whenever necessary.
  • Indoor and outdoor plants are watered when necessary.
  • Wash all towels and dog bowls
  • Must be literate and people oriented
