Employment is on a contractual basis, and a gratuity is payable upon successful completion of the contractual agreement. Salary range: $1,439,466.00 - $1,935,908.00 per annum.

Summary of Duties:
Under the general direction of the Director of Corporate Services, the Driver (LMO/DR 2) will undertake the external collection and delivery of mail and documents on behalf of the OPD. The incumbent will also transport designated staff members on assignments and the mobile office to its assigned destinations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of Secondary level education.
  • Valid Jamaican General Driver's Licence.
  • Competence approval to operate a motor vehicle from Island Traffic Authority.

On April 1, 2019, the Public Procurement Act came into effect establishing the Public Procurement Commission (PPC) as a Public Body Corporate replacing the National Contracts Commission.

The PPC has responsibility for endorsing recommendations for the award of Government Contracts, making recommendations to Cabinet for the award of Government Contracts, as well as registering companies/business desirous of participating in the Government of Jamaica Procurement processes.

Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose

Maintain, repair and evaluate mechanical, electrical/electronic and structural systems on all the Terminal's Heavy-duty Container Handling Equipment.

Job Requirements and Specifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance from a recognized institution.
  • At least two (2) years' experience in maintenance and repair activities and evaluations for relevant equipment and machinery.
  • Successful completion of the Company's Junior Maintenance Technician programme.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant mechanical/pneumatic/electronic engineering systems which include hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical circuits, PLC and fault diagnostics systems; combustion/diesel engines, power transmission hydraulic.
