Description: Delivery Assistant

Department: Warehouse trucking

Summary:

The Delivery Assistant's main responsibilities include assisting the driver with loading and unloading the truck, delivering equipment or products to customers and clients, helping drivers navigate to each destination on schedule, and recording delivery logs. He/she reports to the Warehouse Supervisor on the shift assigned.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist in unloading goods on various routes to various customers.
  • Always keep the truck clean and tidy in preparation for other colleagues’ use.
  • Communicate with customers and clients to ensure they’re happy with the service they received.
  • Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Ensure all packages are accounted for and signatures received.
  • Work along with the driver to expedite delivery.
  • Sort and palletize goods to be loaded for delivery.
  • Work closely with supervisor to ensure that production line flows efficiently.
  • Perform all tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all other employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to and over 50lbs.
  • Endurance to work long hours, night shift, holidays and weekends.
  • Work well as part of a team,
  • Be able to meet to tight deadlines.
  • High school diploma/certificate.
  • Previous experience would be an asset.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit
  • Forklift operation experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Bureau of Standards regulations, HACCP and AEO is an asset.

Plant Attendant (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - Caribbean Producers Jamaica Ltd.


GENERAL:

  • To report for duty promptly daily, wearing the correct uniform.
  • To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, hygiene and personal appearance at all times.

PRODUCTION/PACKAGING:
  • Ensure plant floor is hosed down and kept clean, and proper sanitation practices adhered to during the production process.
  • Wash tanks and other equipment according to documented procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of ingredients for production. This includes checking water quality, weighing and measuring ingredients, verifying weights and measurements, etc.
  • Make and label boxes.
  • Operate filling equipment (bagging and bottling), pack boxes.
  • Pack pallets and transfer to warehouse.

FORKLIFT:
  • Operate forklift with permission from Plant Manager.
  • Assist in the loading of finished goods for transfer to main warehouse.
  • Assist in the off-loading of containers when necessary.
WAREHOUSING:
  • Ensure that all goods are correctly stacked in their respective places for easy retrieval.
  • Ensure that goods are properly packed on pallets to prevent accidents.
  • Ensure that garbage receptacles are always lined and covered, and the bins emptied as often as necessary.
  • Report to supervisor any damaged or broken equipment or items of stock that you may notice during the course of duty.
MISCELLANOUS:
  • Assist in the weekly deep cleaning of production area and equipment.
  • Assist in stock taking exercise.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Summary: The Janitor performs assigned/scheduled janitorial and cleaning work. He/she is responsible for maintaining premises and assigned work areas and ensures they are kept in a clean and orderly condition.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
  • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Strips, seals, and polishes floors.
  • Cleans spills and other hazards using sponges and squeegees.
  • Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
  • Cleans warehouse bathrooms and stocks them with soap, toilet paper, and other required supplies.
  • Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Dusts walls, machines and equipment.
  • Removes cobwebs from warehouse bathrooms and changing rooms ceilings.
  • May operate power cleaning tools (i.e. floor scrubber, buffers).
  • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Effectively completes all other activities as delegated by the supervising authorities.

Skills and Specifications
  • Follows quality control standards, safety regulations and standard operational methods.
  • Flexible and willing to work hours and days based on the demands of the job (e.g. early mornings, evenings and weekend days).
  • Should be detailed oriented, reliable and able to handle stressful situations.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods.
  • This role will require bending, stooping, twisting and some overhead lifting of various weights.
  • This role requires repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists.
  • Ability to work within Company Policies.
  • Effectively completes all other activities as delegated by the supervising authorities.
Required Qualifications
  • At least High school graduate and a minimum of 1-year related experience.

Core Duties:
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Reconciliation of toll transactions against reported revenue
  • Analyze toll collection data to detect discrepancies, patterns, or potential fraud

Requirements and Skill-sets:
