Ramp Attendant

As a Ramp Attendant, you will make a difference to the travelling public. You will help get aircraft in and out on time, and make sure that bags travel with them safely to their destination. The passengers may not always see you working on the ramp, but you will make a difference.

Ramp Attendants execute ground handling of aircraft, which includes:
  • Aircraft marshalling: directing an aircraft into the gate
  • Baggage handling: loading, stowing and unloading baggage
  • Grooming of the aircraft: making sure that the interior of the aircraft is prepared for passengers
The role may also involve operating/driving motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, lift trucks, push back tugs, and bag carts. Most important in this role, is a keen awareness and adherence to safety rules. 

Requirements:
  • The ability to read and write - basic numeracy and literacy
  • Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 60lbs (60 pounds) on a regular basis

  • Candidate should have a BSc (or its equivalent) in Office Administration, Business Administration, Management Studies or a related field
  • At least five (5) years working experience at a senior level
  • CPS designation would be an asset
