Driver Needed! (Kingston, St. Catherine & Manchester, Jamaica) - Rusal WINDALCO

Driver

Company locations in St. Catherine, Kingston, and Manchester

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Safety transporting staff to and from Company locations across the island.
  • Promptly informing the Company of any tickets issued against the Company vehicle during work hours.
  • Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
  • Ensuring the vehicle is always parked in at all times.
  • Providing accurate time records of the Company vehicle's coming and goings.
  • Running errands.
  • Dressing professionally and in accordance with the company's dress code.
Candidates should have:
  • High School Diploma or minimum three (3) CXC's
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving record
  • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Trustworthy for dealing with confidential information.
  • The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems and manuals.
  • Knowledge of local roads and routes.

The position calls for an individual with effective communication skills. Candidates must also be punctual and reliable.

Senior Electrical Engineer (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - Rusal Windalco

 Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the position of: SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the Power, Instrument & Electrical Systems Department at our Ewarton Works location in St. Catherine.


Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Design, plan, research, evaluate and test electrical and electronic equipment and systems
  • Provide electrical engineering services to implement solutions to persistent equipment failures and to conduct electrical improvement replacement programmes
  • Implement and monitor electrical preventative maintenance systems, thereby maintaining engineering standards
  • Plan and coordinate for power outage, ensuring the availability of all electrical equipment and systems
Candidates should have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least eight (8) years experience in the electrical maintenance of a plant or power house (diagnosing and resolving malfunctions in electrical systems)
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems, PLC Programming and troubleshooting training
  • Project management and cost estimating skills
The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional groups within the organisation, as well as with contractors. The position also requires that the incumbent be on call 24-hours a day.

Team Leader (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - Rusal Windalco


 Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of: 

Team Leader -Vehicle Shop and Mobile Equipment

In the Maintenance and Reliability Department at Ewarton Works, St. Catherine.



Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Coordinating and overseeing the maintenance activities of all mobile equipment
  • Participating in the selection and purchasing of mobile equipment and providing stock modification as necessary
  • Preparing schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel
  • Resolving work problems and recommending work measures to improve productivity
  • Monitoring employees' work levels and performance 
  • Examining all mobile equipment to determine needed installations, services and repairs
Candidates should have:
  • A diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years work experience
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management System (Shawware)
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
The position calls for an individual with excellent analytical skills; the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment related problems and the temperament to work effectively as a member of a team. The incumbent should possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
