Requirements:

• Two (2) IDs (Voter's ID, Passport, Driver's License or Passport Sized picture verified by a JP)
• NIS
• TRN
• Police record/receipt
• Birth Certificate
• Must be able to read and write well

*NB: Holders of a driver's license is a plus and may attract an additional incentive consideration

Job Details:

• Comfortably lift/move cargo on and off aircraft

Ramp Attendant (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - AJAS Aviation Services

About us

You will be joining the largest ground handler in Jamaica. We provide a suite of ground, passenger and cargo handling services to some of the largest airline’s that visit our shores.

RAMP ATTENDANT

As a Ramp Attendant, you will make a difference to the travelling public. You will help get aircraft in and out on time, and make sure that bags travel with them safely to their destination. The passengers may not always see you working on the ramp, but you will make a difference.

Ramp Attendants execute ground handling of aircraft, which includes:

• Aircraft marshalling: directing an aircraft into the gate

• Baggage handling: loading, stowing and unloading baggage

• Grooming of the aircraft: making sure that he interior of the aircraft is prepared for passengers.

The role may also involve operating/driving motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, lift trucks, push back tugs, and bag carts. Most important in this role, is a keen awareness and adherence to safety rules.

Requirements:

• The ability to read and write – basic numeracy and literacy.
• Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
• A willingness to work rotating shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: Driver’s License.

Customer Service Agent

As a Customer Service Agent, you will provide legendary service to people desiring to travel, or who are seeking answers when there are off-schedule or other irregular operations (IROPS). The Customer Service Agent is an ambassador for the client airline, providing superior hospitality, excellent customer service, and problem resolution to the travelling public. If you have a passion for service, are committed to continuous learning and value positive relationships with internal and external customers, this is for you.

Requirements:

• Five (5) CXC/GCE O' level subject or equivalent. Subjects must include English Language and Math or Accounting. Preferred - Two (2) years experience in customer service related role. The role will likely require travel and so US Visa holders have an advantage.
