TRUCK DRIVERS (WESTERN REGION)

The successful applicant should possess:

• Holder of an Open General Driver's License or Articulated License for a minimum of five (5) years
• At least three (3) years experience as a driver of heavy unit
• Certificate in Defensive Driving would be an asset
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical examination
• Must have a safe and clean driving record
• Must be literate; a minimum of two (2) CXCs
• Good interpersonal skills and customer relations
• Willing to work outside of regular hours and on weekends, when required

Quality Control Technician (Western Region - Jamaica) - Jamaica Pre-mix Concrete limited

Jamaica Pre-mix Limited invites suitably qualified persons to fill the positions of: QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (WESTERN REGION).

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Conducts daily quality control inspection and sampling of concrete
• Conducts trial mixes and crush samples
• Conducts rebound tests when necessary
• Conducts cement tests and moisture tests when necessary
• Records and files sample tests
• Travels to various job sites and conducts slump tests and or makes cube and cylindrical moulds, etc when necessary
• Checks slumps on mixer trucks on arrival at job sites and adjusts concrete mixture if necessary, by adding admixtures
• Ensures the proper usage and maintenance of all laboratory equipment
• Keeps current inventory of cubes and cylinder moulds

Sales Representatives (Kingston & St. James, Jamaica) - Jamaica Premix Concrete Limited

 

Job Summary

Jamaica Premix Concrete Limited is seeking to recruit suitable candidates to fill the position of Sales Representative, to serve as a liaison between customers and the company by driving and building sales through the implementation of effective solution selling practices. Working with the Commercial/Operations Manager to develop sales strategies for the assigned regions. This includes achieving sales and prospecting objectives, development of marketing strategies, and resolving customer complaints. Liaise with various construction networking groups to achieve greater market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather market intelligence from various stakeholders in the construction industry
• Market and sell ready mixed concrete in assigned regions
• Develop, analyze and maintain market intelligence
• Prepare estimates, quotations, and job orders for customers
• Build customer relationships with the ability to negotiate effectively, close sales, and identify customer needs
• Manage customer complaints to resolution
• Assist with collections from customers

Qualifications Profile:

• Preferred diploma in Construction Management or other related field
• At least three (3) years experience in sales and marketing
• Experience in concrete, aggregates, paving or construction would be an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Must own a reliable motor vehicle
