Computer Technician (Kingston, Jamaica) - Micro-finance Institution

A Computer Technician is needed to work in a financial institution.

The incumbent must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
• Three (3) years experience in an similar role
• In depth understanding of hardware and equipment
• Networking knowledge
• Strong leadership skills
• Highest level of honesty and integrity
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative 
• Professional values and attitudes suitable for a financial institution
• Assertive and persevering attitude

The job requires the individual to:

• Conduct audits of hardware and software
• Recommend improvements to ensure optimal functionality
• Maintain systems and manage data
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers, etc
• Must be based in Kingston but willing and able to travel extensively across the island and conduct repairs on site as needed
