Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant post of Cashier (FMG/CS 1), in the service of the Hanover Municipal Corporation.
Salary range: $645,559 0 $767,367 per annum and any allowance(2) attached to the post.
Core Responsibilities:
- Issuing of cheques prepared for payments
- Preparing and issuing receipts for cash and cheques, ensuring that the amounts received are correct and receipt is properly drawn
- Lodging amounts received promptly to the relevant bank accounts
- Preparing and making lodgements for the Hanover Municipal Corporation
- Posting receipts to EPICOR system
- Carrying out any other duties directed by the Director of Finance and other senior managers
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) CXC/GCE O' level subjects inclusive of Mathematics or Accounts
- Certificate in Government Accounting (Module 1) would be an asset
- Certification in Accounting from a post-secondary institution
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in general accounting
