Warehouse Inventory Clerk

Caribbean Chemicals and Agencies Jamaica Limited is seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse  Inventory Clerk to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to communicate efficiently and effectively with staff and customer and to ensure the safe delivery and inventory of goods.

Core Functions:

  • Ensures that all non-invoice inventory movements are captured on movement journals and the requisite authorized forms attached and filed.
  • Provides packing lists to the logistics team on receipt of exports orders and accurately package export orders for shipping as per packing lists supplied.
  • Processes orders from customers and coordinates the dispatching of goods from the warehouse to the customers in keeping with the company's established procedures and practices.
  • Monitor the warehouse inventories and make requests for finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials to ensure adequate supplies to satisfy customer needs.
  • Prepares invoices of goods to be delivered to the customers.
  • Ensures that inventory in the warehouse is organized and ready for stock-taking, when necessary.
  • Manages inventory through monitoring the flow of finished goods in the warehouse, always ensuring proper stock rotation by following the FIFO (first-in-first-out) system.
  • Participates in the stocktaking experience.
  • Observes and maintains strict adherence to established health and safety policies and practices.
  • Performs cycle counts and ensures the inventory balances in the enterprise system are updated.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary level qualification (Certificate or Diploma) in Warehouse Management or Project Management.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Supervisory Management.
  • Certification in forklift Handling would be an asset.
  • Results-oriented and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using computer software applications.
