Job Responsibilities
Implements an Outcomes-Oriented Instructional Programme Aligned to the Christel House School Model
- Creates and articulates a vision for instructional excellence and creates an aligned approach to professional development.
- Evaluates classroom instruction and promotes engaging instructional practices that build higher-order thinking skills in students.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of student(s) using formative and summative data.
- Provides leadership for character education and counseling.
- Establishes safe and consistent systems for students, staff and families.
- Analyzes data to allocate and deploy resources to support programmatic excellence.
- Selects and evaluates teachers and staff, in conjunction with appropriate members of the leadership team.
- Ensures compliance with local laws and regulations and with Christel House International policies.
- Collaborates with the senior leadership team on decisions that impact teaching and learning, and policies for governing the operation of the school.
- Creates and fosters an environment where students are invested in their own learning and achievement.
- Promotes student behavioral management techniques in the school that are based on trauma-informing schooling, restorative practices, positive behavioral interventions.
- Foster an inclusive environment in which all members of the community, regardless of their role and/or background, feel respected and valued.
- Builds positive family partnerships through consistent and caring interactions.
- Master's Degree in Education (preferable)
- License in Administration and Supervision
- Five (5) years' experience in elementary school leadership
- Demonstrated track record of strong academic results with a diverse population of at-risk students.
