Warehouse Specialist (Clarendon, Jamaica)

We are a fast-moving medium-sized Distribution and Processing Company seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual for the position of Warehouse Specialist for our Clarendon location:

Key Functions:

• Monitor quality and condition of items in the warehouse.
• Ensures the warehouse premises are clean and neat.
• Perform physical verification of inventory.
• Maintain, manage, and update inventory controls.
• Handle/monitor the use of pallet jack, forklift and other tools and equipment in warehouse operations.
• Manage loading and unloading operations.
• Implement safety procedures and standards in the warehouse.
• Design and implement best practices in warehouses operations.
• Perform a variety of warehousing duties requiring an understanding of the established storage plan.

Minimum Requirement and Competencies:

• At least two (2) years' experience in warehouse/distribution/processing operations.
• Certification in Warehousing or Inventory Management or Supply Chain and logistics management, or equivalent, is an asset.
• High degree of integrity and high level of initiative.
• Be flexible to work on either day or night shift.
