The JPS and Partners Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. is seeking to identify a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of:
Delinquency Officer
Core Functions
The successful candidate is accountable for the achievement of the Asset Protection and Recovery Objective in order that the Mission Vision and major targets for JPS and Partners Credit Union are met.
Other Major Function
- Sound knowledge of Credit Union's Products, systems and procedures.
- Sound knowledge of the Acts and Regulations governing Credit Unions (e.g. Co-operative and Friendly Societies Acts, Securities Interests in Personal Property Bill, BOJ Guidance Notes etc.).
- Knowledge of IFRS 9 especially in the area of Expected Credit Loss analysis.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of accounting practices, principles and procedures, especially as it relates to the credit union environment.
- Working knowledge of arbitration proceedings and filing of documents.
- Good telephone techniques/etiquette skills.
- Strong Analytical, Research and problem solving skills.
- Good negotiating and counselling skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management or an equivalent qualification from accredited educational institutions.
- A minimum of two (2) years' working experience in a similar capacity, preferably in Risk and Compliance in a Credit Union or Banking Environment.
- Formal training in Enterprise/Business Risk Management, an asset.
