Laboratory Analyst (Ocho Rios, St. Ann, Jamaica)

A professional environmental management and technical service company seeks to fill the below vacancies with the most suitably available personnel.

Laboratory Analyst 

General Criteria

• Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology, Food Science or Environmental Science.
• One (1) year working experience in a testing laboratory (minimum)
• Experience in conducting laboratory testing of water samples
• Good Interpersonal and people skills; operates efficiently
• Self-motivated and the ability to multi-task is necessary
• Good organizational skills and laboratory competency
• Good management and supervisory skills.
• Reside or located close to Ocho Rios, St. Ann

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Daily execution Lab Analyst duties and responsibilities
• Executing laboratory tests on water, food and swab samples
• Coordinating test requirements are Micro-b and Chemical Labs
• Being a part of the dynamic Environmental Management Team
• Achieving accreditation requirements as detailed in the Standard
• Implementation of required aspects of the IOS 17025 Quality Standard.
