A seven-year-old girl who asked for a job at Google got something of a shock when the technology giant's boss personally responded to her letter.
Chloe Bridgewater, from Hereford in Herefordshire, sent the letter to Google's offices in Silicon Valley last Monday.
In it, she said: "My dad said I can sit on bean bags and go down slides and ride go karts in a job in (Google)."
Her dad, Andy Bridgewater, 37, said she was "over the moon" when chief executive Sundar Pichai responded four days later, encouraging her to "keep working hard" and get in touch when she finishes school.
Sales manager Mr Bridgewater told Sky News he was working from home when Chloe asked him where he would really like to work.
He mentioned Google, and the pair looked at pictures of the firm's office online.
When she saw bean bags, go karts, slides, Chloe told her dad she would also like to work there.
Mr Bridgewater told Chloe she should "get the ball rolling" and send an application to Google.
In the letter, Chloe wrote about her skills and interest in working for the company one day, and highlighted her experience with using tablets and robot games.
And she wrote: "My dad told me to give you (an) application to get a job in Google. I don't really know what one of them is but he said a letter would do for now.
"Thank you for reading my letter, I have only ever sent one other and that was to Father Christmas. Good bye," she concluded.
Chloe's mum Julie told Sky News her face "just lit up" when she saw the envelope with the Google logo on it.
"I didn't expect a response at all, it was a complete shock," she said.
"It was really lovely for Chloe because she put so much effort into writing the letter. She did it over the course of two days."
The letter went viral after Mr Bridgewater posted it on LinkedIn.
It gained more than 10 million views, and prompted phone calls from Japan, China and the United States.
In his reply Mr Pichai told her: "I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to.
"I look forward to receiving your job application when you finish school."
