Operations Assistant (Kingston, Jamaica) - Lillan Limited

Lillan Limited, importer and distributor of meats, fish and grains is seeking to employ an Operations Assistant. This individual will support the Plant Manager in organizing and managing day-to-day activities for plant operations. Safety, quality and high throughput are essential components of the job.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and co-ordinate the activities of production and operating workers
• Assist with security and cargo handling activities, ensuring safe operations and the adherence to regulatory requirements 
• Support operational improvements in areas such as inventory accuracy, equipment and facilities management 
• In collaboration with the quality control team assist with maintenance of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) system including food safety fundamentals 

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent 
• Three plus (3+) years experience in applicable disciplines 
• Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and databases 
• Leadership 
• HAACP/SQF certification or experience will be an asset
