Production Worker (Kingston, Jamaica) - Harris Paints



Harris Paints is a regional group of companies which distributes and retails paint, accessories and performance coatings in 17 countries across the region, with manufacturing operations in Barbados, Dominica, Jamaica and St. Lucia. B-H Paints is a subsidiary of Harris Paints and one of the leading manufacturers and retailers of paint in Jamaica.

We are seeking innovative, performance-driven, customer-focused and assertive individuals to join our Jamaica Team.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of  Production Worker to join our dynamic team of highly motivated production staff.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Production Worker will perform the following roles:
• Safely and efficiently operate manual and semi automatic equipment and machinery to meet factory demands
• Manufacture paints to specific formulations and guidelines
• Structure work load to efficiently meet production demands in a timely manner
• Maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures

• Team player and above average interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and accurate in performing tasks
• Flexible with respect to working hours
• Ability to work both independently and within a team


Qualifications:
Minimum Requirement:
• Training in Technical Vocational Education a must and completed secondary level education.
• Three (3) years experience as a machine operator in a paint and manufacturing environment an asset.
• Operating a forklift would be a definite asset.
