Scale Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica Flour Mills (ADM)

The Scale Clerk will be responsible for the weighing of Trucks, Bulk Tanks and Containers entering and leaving our compound. The ideal candidate should be a motivated individual with a high level of integrity with the ability to multitask while working in a fast moving environment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ working experience.
• Intermediate computing skills with exposure to Microsoft Office Suite 
• Familiarity with weighbridge or an accounting software would be an asset. 
  
• Well developed understanding of scheduling and logistics
• Basic understanding of scheduling and logistics.
• Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management systems.
• Basic understanding of company’s production process.
• Customer service focused and ability to employ a flexible, positive attitude.
• High level of computation accuracy with a keen eye for detail
• Unquestionable integrity

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate checks of invoices generated.
• Controls the flow of delivery trucks and bulk tanks on the weigh bridge.
• Ensures that the laden weight of trucks and bulk tanks does not exceed established standards.
• Takes accurate physical stock of flour and by-products in the Warehouse daily before commencing delivery.
• Responsible for ensuring that invoices are delivered to the Accounting Department on a timely basis.
• Responsible for weighing delivery vehicles (trucks, containers, bulk tanks, etc.) before and after they are loaded.
• Ensures that laden weight of trucks and/or bulk tanks are accurate and do not violate the company’s standard weight.
• Ensures that the appropriate container seals are placed on containers prior to them leaving the compound.
• Liaises with Packaging Department regarding the loading and dispatching of bulk tanks.
• Ensures that daily delivery targets are met
• Performs any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
