Test Baker (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica Flour Mills Ltd.

Jamaica Flour Mills Ltd invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to temporarily (4 months) fill the position of: Test Baker.

Requirements:

• Baking technology certificate or equivalent 
• Experience in bakery operations and product development 
• Knowledge of food chemistry
• Advanced baking skills 
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel 
• Ability to work flexible hours 
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar or related position 

Responsibilities:

• Perform test bake of JF Mills main products 
• Carry out assessment and scoring of the finished products 
• Assist with product development projects 
• Conduct special tests in order to diagnose customers' complaint
• Conduct experiments aimed at ascertaining the shelf life of products
• Perform quality checks on baked products and take corrective actions
