Collections Officers
Summary:
Collections Officers will have the responsibility of managing the company's accounts receivable delinquency portfolio while providing exceptional customer experience.
Key Functions:
- Prepare and dispatch statements as required to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
- Maintain regular contacts with sales representatives and other relevant internal and external customers with a view to resolve delinquent accounts
- Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management
Requirements and Competencies:
- Associate degree in Business Administration and/or Accounting
- Proven experience as a Collector with two (2) to three (3) years of corporate experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be a team player
- Sound negotiation skills
- Problem solving skills
Accounting Officer
Summary:
Responsible to maintain records of all logistics and inventory costing accounting transactions.
Key Functions:
- Manage the payables function for all logistics activities
- Reconcile the Goods in Transit Account to general ledger
- Prepare accurate costings for Trade Inventory
- Track containers in system ensuring no demurrage
Requirements and Competencies:
- ACCA level 1 or tertiary education
- At least five (5) years experience in Accounting
- Knowledge of accounting in an imported goods situation is an asset
- Must be results oriented and able to work independently as well as on a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work within deadlines
