Chef, Server (Kingston, Jamaica)

New cafe located in Half Way Tree is seeking the following persons to join our team.

Chef

Responsibilities:

• Setting up menus and preparing high quality dishes
• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner
• Ensure appealing plate presentation
• Supervise Cooks and as needed
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Requirements:

• At least three (3) years experience as a Chef or Cook
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. griddles and pasta makers)
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks

Experience with advanced cooking techniques and nontraditional ingredients, would be an asset.

Server

Responsibilities:

• Taking customers' food orders
• Collaborating with the kitchen staff for prompt and accurate delivery of orders
• Delivering a memorable experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
• Assist with tidying the cafe and keeping all areas neat and clean during opening hours and after closing to comply with state regulations

Requirements:

• At least one (1) years experience in a similar capacity
• High school diploma
