JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will be required to assist in the maintenance of the Food Safety & Quality System at Honey Bun by ensuring that all products manufactured meet food safety, quality & legal requirements established by local & international regulators (e.g. Ministry of Health, FDA, CFIA). The candidate will be required to identify system gaps and ensure the timely close out of issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- First degree in Food Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of HACCP & Internal Auditing
- PCQI certification desirable
- Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 desirable
- Knowledge of sampling techniques & statistical analysis
- Possess a valid Food Handlers’ Certificate
- Working Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Hygiene & Sanitation Principles
