We are Recruiting

Jamaica Packaging Industries, a leading manufacturer and retailer of corrugated and paper packaging materials seeks suitably qualified individuals to fill the following vacancies. 

Machine Operators

Requirements:

• Certificate from recognized technical/vocational institution and/or a minimum of one (1) year experience.
• Successful completion of internal operator training programme(s) and being able to fully operate at least one (1) machine or a piece of specialized equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and work instructions.
• Mathematical competence (ability to subtract, multiply, divide and convert units of measure).
• Computer literacy in Microsoft suite and knowledge of I.S.O9001:2015 standard will be an asset.
• Capable of performing within the physical requirements of the job.

Production Assistants

Requirements:

• High School diploma and/or minimum of one (1) year experience working in a similar capacity.
• Able to understand and follow instructions whether written or verbal.
• Possess good teamwork skills.
• Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and work instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Capable of performing within the physical requirements of the job.
