Quantity Surveyor, etc (Kingston, Jamaica) - National Works Agency

Applications are invited from suitably qualified team members for the under-mentioned positions:

Quantity Surveyor (Level 6) 

Minimum required qualification and experience:

• B.Sc. degree in Quantity Surveying
• A minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience
• Experience in roads, bridges or buildings

Skills requirement/Key competencies:

• Highly developed team skills
• Highly developed project planning and management skills
• Competence in computer programs
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
• Strong interpersonal and deductive reasoning skills

Civil Engineer (Level 6)

Minimum required qualification and experience:

• B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering
• A minimum of three (3) years post graduate experience in Civil Engineering with knowledge of design of bridges, retaining structures, and other civil engineering structures and/or three (3) years experience in Civil Engineering works (especially Road Construction)

Skills requirement/Key competencies:

• Team player 
• Project planning and management skills
• Working knowledge of Contract Management Skills
• Competence in computer applications
• Competence in designing and interpreting engineering drawing, briefs, diagrams
• Training in Civil Engineering
• Flexibility
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
