Guard Force Commander (full time)
Westmoreland Protection Agency, a U.S. A based industry leading security company is seeking an experienced Guard Force Commander for a Federal Location in Kingston, Jamaica. The Guard Force Commander shall have completed a secondary education, high school, or National Diploma. A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in the military, police or guard force with proven experience in leadership roles is required. A minimum of five (5) years' work experience in Jamaica.
Requirements:
- Computer literate.
- Able to write basic reports, produce Standard Operating Procedures, and email.
- Advanced security training and experience with risk management including problem identification and problem solving required.
- Must be a citizen of Jamaica, or a third country national in possession of a valid current work visa
- Possess English speaking/reading skill level.
- Supervising a guard force that provides protection to all U.S. mission facilities.
- Preparing guard orders, deployment of guards and weekly scheduling.
- Conducting regular inspections of guards and guard posts.
- Investigating irregularities, maintaining inventory reports.
- Preparing reports and making recommendations regarding discipline and termination actions.
- Overseeing the refresher training program to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Overseeing guard program logistics including, e.g., explosive detection and x-ray equipment.
- Ensure all guards are properly uniformed, equipped and staffed.
- Plan, coordinate and lead local Guard Force during integrated training and emergency response drills
- Hold a current driver's license in Jamaica.
- Oversight of and responsible for quality control and contract compliance.
- Complete and maintain firearms training and certification in accordance with local labor laws.
