 The Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS), a statutory body under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, invites suitably qualified applicants for the following posts:

Public Relations Officer (MCG/IE 4)

Scope of Job

To promote and maintain the image of JAS by effectively communicating the message of the Society to our customers, investors and the general public and; to arrange publicity for all events of the Society.

Required Competences

• Good knowledge of current affairs.
• Good knowledge of marketing strategies
• Sound knowledge of business management strategies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent creativity and imagination and skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.
• Good teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Required

• Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media and Communication Arts plus a minimum of five (5) years' working experience.
• A valid general driver's license.
