Parts Manager
The Parts Manager is responsible for the sourcing and management of the company's parts supply system. He/she creates and sustains relationships with dealers/suppliers and in turn, ensures all locations have the right parts mix and inventory level to meet demands for servicing, repairs, the Parts Manager makes an important contribution to productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Task Breakdown:
- Ensure that stock and company assets are controlled and only issued/received as per Company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure security of all systems.
- Oversee Parts Departments Operations via supervisory staff, systems,Cleanliness of the department, and all existing Company Standard Operating Procedures. To include timely stock counts, annual and perpetual.
- Purchasing via Stock and SOR type order, following budgetary constraints issued by management, the setting up of all aspects of purchasing parameters, and the control of pricing and discounting functions.
Qualifications, Experience, and Requirements:
- A first degree in Management or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in all sections of a Parts Department preferably with a general knowledge of Service and Sales Operations.
- Practical and administrative experience in Sales, Warehousing, Dealer Relations, Purchasing and Customer Liaison.
- Good knowledge of dealership administration, policies, procedures, stock control, warranty, advertising, and promotional activities.
- Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure and be flexible with work schedule and a possible five (5) to six (6) day work week.
- Ability to be always on call, and able to travel at short notice.
