Jamaica Pre-mix Limited invites suitably qualified persons to fill the positions of: QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (WESTERN REGION).
The main duties and responsibilities include:
- Conducts daily quality control inspection and sampling of concrete
- Conducts trial mixes and crush samples
- Conducts rebound tests when necessary
- Conducts cement tests and moisture tests when necessary
- Records and files sample tests
- Travels to various job sites and conducts slump tests and or makes cube and cylindrical moulds, etc when necessary
- Checks slumps on mixer trucks on arrival at job sites and adjusts concrete mixture if necessary, by adding admixtures
- Ensures the proper usage and maintenance of all laboratory equipment
- Keeps current inventory of cubes and cylinder moulds
