Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the position within the St. Catherine North Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Records Officer (PIDG/RIM 2) - Spanish Town
Key Responsibility Areas: Professional/Technical Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains filing system to facilitate easy access and retrieval of information from files
- Locates, retrieves, organizes and stores records as requested
- Updates databases and provides information to duly authorized officers on request
- Monitors incoming and outgoing calls and toll register
- Copies and distributes reports and correspondence to designated persons in the Division
- Maintains a record of all correspondence dispatched within and out
- of the Division
- Maintains a filing system ensuring that riles are accurately labeled and stored for easy retrieval
- Dockets files to ensure that they are completed and that they are correctly indexed as well as to ensure that they are properly stores and retrieved
- Retrieves files upon receipt of a ugly authorized request
- Enters information relating to each file on the tracking system database
- Assists with the preparation of monthly requisition forms for office supplies for the unit
- Maintains a record of office supplies received and distributed
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
- At least three (3) CXC subjects including English Language and a numeracy subject
- Training in Records and Information Management
